Africa is the second most populous continent with over one billion people. The greatest number of births in the continent takes place in Nigeria. In fact, a forecast at a point did project that by 2015 one fifth of the continent’s entire births would take place in Nigeria, accounting for five per cent of all global births. Latest documents leaked from the Federal Government indicts the Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari, in a brewing contract scandal that reveals his corrupt tendencies and continued use of his office for personal enrichment.

US actor Tyler Perry attracted an A-List of American celebrities to the christening of his massive new film studios in Atlanta, Georgia at the weekend.
The film studio, Atlanta’s first is on 330-acres (134-hectares) that once served as a Confederate army base. The site was called Fort McPherson army base. Now it is Tyler Perry Studios.

The federal government yesterday said it’s currently understudying its South Africa counterpart in the areas of environmental degradation and how mining could be properly done without destroying the environment.
The Minister of Mines and Steel Development, Mr. Olamilekan Adegbite, stated that the agreement reached at the just-concluded 9th Session of the Nigeria-South Africa Bi-National Commission (NSABNC) would open a new chapter in the country’s mining industry and further bolster the two countries’ relationship.
