For breaching public decency by displaying half-naked girls in traffic, the Lagos State Police have arrested popular musician, Augustine Kelechi, aka Tekno.
THISDAY gathered that he was arrested on Tuesday and was undergoing questioning at the state Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID), Panti, Yaba.
Tekno had sometime last week partook in a mobile advertisement that displayed half nude girls, who were dancing seductively in a transparent glass box on a truck around the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge.
In the truck, the musician was seen spraying the scantily dressed girls with money as they danced.

The Court of Appeal in Lagos on Tuesday ordered the continuation of the petitions challenging the victory of the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, at the last gubernatorial election.
Alliance for Democracy, AD, governorship candidate in Lagos State, Chief Owolabi Salis, and his Labour Party, LP, counterpart, Ifagbemi Awamaridi, are challenging the victory of Sanwo-Olu at the March 9 gubernatorial election.
The Election Petition Tribunal, sitting in Ikeja, had in June dismissed a petition filed by the AD and LP challenging Sanwo-Olu’s victory.

A 16-year-old boy, Christhopher Samuel, on Tuesday appeared before a Badagry Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos State, for allegedly raping a 3-year-old girl. Samuel, whose address is not provided, faces a two-count charge of rape and sexual assault, to which he pleaded not guilty. The Prosecutor, ASP. The collapsed bridge
Tragedy struck at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Bauchi (ATBU) on Tuesday as four students of the school drowned when a pedestrian bridge within the campus in Gubi, Bauchi State collapsed.
Reports said the tragedy occurred around 12:00am when some of the students were leaving the campus after reading overnight for exams.
The bridge, which linked the university and the hostels, was said to have collapsed under the current of the water underneath.
